With the goal of joining our ministries on one campus, we are in the midst of a Capital Campaign Fund to build our new Parish Life & Education Center. The center will bring IHM School from its Montlieu Avenue home, where it's been since 1947, to our land on Johnson Street. The church facility moved to its new home in 2001 and our membership has more than doubled since then.
The new 73,000 square feet center will increase our student capacity from 275 to 400 (preK-8th grade) and include a state-of-the-art media center, library, and athletic facilities.
Thanks to a $2 million donation from the Mark A and Rena R Norcross Family Foundation and contributions from many of our parishioners, we are more than half way to our fundraising goal of $10 million. Yet, we still have a long way to go. We ask our parishioners to please review your support to date to see if you are able to help us now as we grow. The Capital Campaign committee will continue to work with donors within the parish and civic community to fill this last gap. We thank you for your support and generosity.
